Magisk v24.1 drops with reduced capabilities after Google hire
- rektide 5y agoThe author defended their unwillingness to fight this war already, and I cant blame them. Google has been trying to defeat the user & crush our will for a long time now. We have lost this battle a number of times, & only eventually worked around, come back. But it's not been a sure thing. Im just as concerned about Google's new Play Integrity API[1], which is more pro-controlled computing, more anti-user hijinx. What a trashy time for computing. So sad to see Google closing the door & throwing away the key on people being able to explore devices & systems they've purchased. It's such an immoral anti-human stance, to fight a war against possibility. To leave no overrides available to users, to give corporations all the control over software is scum behavior, nails shut the coffin of personal computing.
