In politics and economics, too many predictions overweight the recent past
- PaulHoule 5y agoI call it the "ahistoric turn". In a research project I've been doing I've been looking at the arc of human history from ancient times to the late 1700s and even the 1960s. Most people I talk to think the current situation is so unprecedented they don't want to look back two years.
