About time. We simply MUST STOP the warming. It is true the earth had warmer periods in the past, also colder, but the serious consequences of eventual melting of the Greenland and Antarctic ice caps = 80 meters or 262 feet - when = heat the air and it will happen. True, it will take a while, but it might happen in sudden bursts over ~5 years, say if the Greenland cap broke apart in segments due to flotation effects, and large bridged segments of Antarctica? These are above sea level = certain rise of 5-10 feet in a few years. Don't laugh - many ice areas are keylocked to the land beneath them, but many areas are close to floatable and are being eroded but deep current as we waffle = large break-offs will occur.
Jump the seas by 5-10 feet = huge losses in all major (~~50 cities) that are now at sea level. Huge loss of property etc., built over hundreds of years that will need to be replaced inland - and you must move to a rebuild area possibly 300 feet higher, or you will have to repeat if the fools who want to keep burning oil do not stop it. /rant...
