Elon Musk offered teen $5K to shut down Twitter account tracking his flights
- YuriNiyazov 5y agoFTA: the kid countered $50K, and Musk ghosted him. See, there's no reason to pay this kid any amount of money, because he's scraping publicly available data. The moment Musk pays out, there will be 10000 copycats scraping that public data and publishing it. Musk ghosted him because he's figuring out how to get that public data scrubbed out.
- clove 5y ago$5k! That's a lot of greenbacks! Someone call Warren Buffett! But seriously, $5k is what... 0.00000000000000000001% of Musk's daily income?
- democracy 5y agoyou dont become rich by paying everyone crazy money for nothing. I am shocked the guy 10x the offer frankly. I doubt this negotiation tactic works, as its moving from negotiation to extortion too fast and doesnt seem.. legit?
