- ardit33 5y agoYep, in Albanian: Rrobe, means "Cloth". Same origin. It means that 'rober' came from the meaning of 'cloth taker'.
- thaumasiotes 5y agoActually the opposite - the root refers to loot and "robbery" is the direct development from it. Robes the clothing are named after robbery the act of generic theft, not the other way around.
