I assumed that all human lives had the same value, regardless of age, gender or physical fitness. Like many people, I settled on a small set of rules and didn't deviate from it based on any personal characteristic. I'm not sure if this is a moral decision or not, but I generally prefer to avoid evaluating the relative merit of any person when it comes to life or death decisions.
