Spotify has been advertising their podcasts for a long time, and I have listened to a few of them on the service. I even tried an episode of Joe Rogan and decided I didn't like it, but after that it seemed that Spotify's recommendation algorithm really started pushing the show. I switched to Tidal, which doesn't have quite as good a selection of artists. They do still have Neil Young.
