I think the timing of this is specifically to avoid that scenario if Republicans retake the Senate.
The risk is that Sinema and Manchin have shown very little party loyalty. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they say we should bring back the filibuster for judicial appointments.
- simplicio 5y agoThey've been reliable votes Biden's on judicial nominees, I dont think there's any reason to think they'd change here.
