They are also used to create predatory economies in the form of play-to-earn games touted as a reliable income. This is what drives the growth of crypto these days, so you will find a lots of articles peddling it. Some of these games are a form of gambling, some of them are just scams. Most of the money ends up in a few pockets as usual, the people are left with hopium and eventually with holding the bag, which is why it's important that they should believe, so that they don't try to cash out.
