- FireBeyond 5y ago... that seems to have the relatively highest number of post-delivery QC / satisfaction issues. I think a lot more Tesla owners would be happy if they were a little less productive and instead made sure brake pads weren't missing, windshields were actually glued to the vehicle, there weren't leaks from the sunroof or into the compartments, panels weren't misaligned, and so on and so forth.
- m0llusk 5y agoThe pandemic played out in an interesting way here. The County noticed sharply increasing infections and wanted to shut the place down. The City that hosts it gets a huge amount of income from this operation and was facing turning off the lights and firing all the cops, so they let the band play on. It was an intense stand off. Amusingly, the media circus and Internet humbug that carried on about this was all about Elon Musk who had zero input on the legal lines drawn and no choice but to try to keep the plant open because of commercial obligations, board members, and all the rest of the usual suspects.
- fomine3 5y agoIs cars per (any sized) factory meaningful metric for productivity?
- rdtwo 5y agoYeah idk what real benefit you get from high density in the factory except increased cost of tooling more difficulty retooling. Also now having to deal with additional access issues and hazards related to elevated platforms.
