- mellavora 5y agoI heard it was military slang designed, so yes to drop the explicit f-word, but not to be polite, rather to have an acronym since so much else is an acronym SNAFU situation normal all fouled up FUBAR fouled up beyond all repair leading to the temp variable names "foo", "bar", and "baz"
