I wonder how telecom would work for such a system. What would it be like to sit down at a computer, or open up your phone, and access a web page hosted on another planet? Would everything be mirrored to the local internet and synchronized periodically? Would you simply not be able to participate in most features we take for granted on the current web?

I guess the contents of planetary Internets will just be synchronized periodically, the physical limitations do not really allow for a different solution.
