Electron isn't the solution, but the fact that advocating for multiplatform usage on HN as opposed to boutique special Macs (because "I only use Macs and I love Macs") gets you (well, it was downvoted) downvoted is really sad. I only joined this community after the Apple CSAM incident after noticing this community began to lose their unyielding fanboyism for Apple products and began to adopt a more reasonable view on a megacorporation. Seriously, what is wrong with this comment? Genuinely curious.

> Seriously, what is wrong with this comment? Genuinely curious. Well, for one, it's telling another (highly successful) company how to run their business. But also, I am a web developer who's been developing on Macs for all of my professional career and most of my hobbyist years before that. It's very unlikely I'll use anything else at least for the foreseeable future. I am grateful that there's at least one company that is making a decent Mac-native editor to help me do my work. Work done to port this to other platforms would be wasted on me, and at any rate cross-platform applications are great in theory, but in practice they, or at least their Mac ports, are very rarely well implemented and almost always stick out like a sore thumb when it comes to UX. At any rate, if one really wants to shame companies that make single-platform software, there are a wealth of them doing that for Windows.
