What about the part where the founders actively steered employees away from equity? What about the part where they lied?

- cercatrova 5y agoSee my reply to the sibling comment [0]. It is not the responsibility of the founders to tell you the truth, they do as they will. It's is always our responsibility to discern the truth from the lies, through what's actually written down. Anyone, the world even, can lie to us, that doesn't mean we must believe them implicitly. - kstrauser 5y ago> It is not the responsibility of the founders to tell you the truth You didn’t really mean that, did you?
- cercatrova 5y agoPerhaps I worded it incorrectly. Sure, they might have a moral responsibility, but that doesn't mean they'll always tell the truth, and more importantly, you should not trust them to tell you the truth. You have to look out for yourself as much as possible.
- kstrauser 5y agoAlright, I can go along with that. It's others' responsibility to tell you the truth, but yours to verify it.
- aidenn0 5y agoThey broke a promise; maybe they lied when they made the promise. I might say I'll not sell my house until my kids graduate high school, but if someone offered me $20M that could change my mind.
