In case there is some stateful network connection (eg. TCP, SSH, HTTP, IMAP, ...) it will probably timeout sooner or later. Then it depends on how well the app can detect it and reconnect once resumed again.
- LinuxBender 5y agoAnd that is probably mostly fine since HTTP is or is supposed to be stateless. IMAP by design can reconnect and one can work around SSH by using MOSH [1] in those cases which is stateless and great for lossy and/or mobile networks. [1] - https://mosh.org/ https://mosh.org/
