Scaling Kubernetes to Over 4k Nodes and 200k Pods
- sidcool 5y agoDoes it make sense to have so many nodes in a single cluster? Isn't multi cluster a better approach at that scale?
- sockpuppet_12 5y agoId like to see a Kubectl get pods -A crash a client
- desktopninja 5y agoMaybe I'm just oldskool but I immediately want to get the whole dev && ops team on board to lower this number! Then the ultimate bragging rights can begin. What doesn't sound better than we run a multi-billion company on just these 5 machines. Perhaps more realistically 200k/4k ... 50 :)
- ramoz 5y agoI honestly don’t understand how running 50pods on a node can ever realistically workout. Especially on lower vCPU models (they mention starting with 4!) Am I fundamentally misunderstanding something about kubernetes or the lacking cpu needs of most web apps??
