This concern about harassing messages is particularly relevant as data aggregator Etherscan just announced their new messaging feature "Blockscan Chat". I'm unclear on how it works but it's the first time I've seen such accessible tools for blockchain users to message eachother: https://chat.blockscan.com/start https://chat.blockscan.com/start
That said, even in this beta there's an easy to reach option to "Block user". Nice work Etherscan!
- Stevvo 5y agoOn how that chat works; you sign a message to Blockscan's server to prove ownership of your key, then it's just un-ecrpyted chat with messages stored Blockscan's server and you public key as your username.
