I built this a while back already but I figured I might show this to hackernews and solicit some feedback. It's basically a Rust implementation of an approval / snapshot testing framework. It makes it possible to make assertions where the comparison value is managed by insta automatically. When the reference value changes it gives you a diff of the changes and you can approve of it. This is particularly useful if you have a lot of generated test cases. For instance we're using it for asserting how the sentry symbolication system symbolizes results.
