Youre making assumptions based on prior experience. I am stating facts based on current ongoing experience. Part of the reason of massive student costs is the amount of jobs has significantly increased and paychecks have increased, reducing workloads between them to the point that most professors have maybe a class or two, the rest of their time spent working on projects designed to fail or be ineffective. It's a great job to work on something half assed that no boss can say "hey that's totally a waste of resources and time". Same goes for administrators. University is seen as good because it's what we have. If we defund it and rebuild we can have something far better that actually meets the needs of the market and society.
