That’s still not quite what I’m looking for. It’s not the “not paying for Windows” angle for me. I don’t care much about that. I can just treat it like an unused part of the package, like a foreign power adapter. It might even be useful someday. What I really want is to positively pay for vendor Linux support, pre-installed. I want the vendor to benefit from Linux and know why they’re supporting it for me. I guess they could change that in the future though so it’s still worth keeping an eye on.
