Why do you need JS to translate your unreadable HTML into readable HTML?
- duiker101 5y ago> _Pssst, coming from Hacker News? Add a ".md" to the URL_ This might have been added after your comment. Link with md: https://write.as/n5r0vjolumdnuk2k.md https://write.as/n5r0vjolumdnuk2k.md

- CameronNemo 5y ago@dang can we get the link updated?
- kxra 5y agoDo we know why it was modified? I think hackernews stripped off the .md for some reason, but if you submit the URL with an anchor like https://write.as/hash.md#title https://write.as/hash.md#title that seems to preserve it
- bArray 5y ago> This might have been added after your comment. If that's the case, great work in responding so quickly. > Link with md: https://write.as/n5r0vjolumdnuk2k.md https://write.as/n5r0vjolumdnuk2k.md You'd think the `.md` would be the markdown and the blank/`.html` would be the HTML? Not the other way around? Might be worth the owner of the website swapping that around afterwards.
- saurik 5y agoMaybe the idea is that you edit plain text files but then can optionally claim "this file can be parsed as X", which actually I want to say is kind of cool? Though... I guess if this were my site, to make that less confusing, I would make the plain text version .txt and then just not really have a "default" version.
- LinAGKar 5y agoFor some reason that message only shows up when you're already on the .md URL. If you go to https://write.as/n5r0vjolumdnuk2k https://write.as/n5r0vjolumdnuk2k it's not there. Now at least the link here is updated, though my RSS reader had the old link.
- hackmiester 5y agoI don't think it was caused by your lack of JS. I have JS enabled and it still did this until I altered the link.
