Because despite all the effort, they fail to advertise anything I would care for. At worst, they might advertise something that almost seems like something I could want, and then I dive down the rabbit hole and find out it's not what I want. Complete waste of time. Thankfully that's only happened once or twice (usually ads are so far off the mark that I can dismiss them on first sight).
