Just because we’ve had some characters as president doesn’t mean we can’t have opinions. Only countries with a history of perfect presidents can have opinions? And by this logic, rich people shouldn’t comment on the imf, and anyone on the internet on hacker news is comparatively well off in the grand scheme. If having a bad leader means we can’t comment on other presidents, and all countries have had rich powerful people and organizations abuse their monetary power, how is it consistent to be okay criticizing external rich and powerful organizations but not leaders?
