Socialization is the word you’re looking for. Kids need to be around other kids.

- kortilla 5y agoNo it’s not. That’s a very distinct different thing and many parents (myself included) would be fine if socializing came from explicit after school activities. School is nothing more than a government paid daycare for a significant portion of the people and it’s why there was such anger over school closures.
