I was hesitant to chime in here, because I'm in my mid-60s, which puts me solidly in the boomer generation that grew up with classic rock. But I have to agree with this. I have some faves in the realm of "old" music, but also like a lot of current/newer musicians, a few of whom are R&B but none of whom are rap/hip-hop. It's just not something I enjoy, and I agree that too many new songs radio stations are full of it. Looking for new music doesn't occupy much of my time, so my tolerance for the choice presented to me is fairly low.
