Are you seriously THAT unaware of how the entire US electoral process works? The entire point of the January 6th insurrection was to bully Mike Pence into either refusing to count the certified ballots of certain states to throw the election to the House of Representatives, where Republicans held a majority at the time, or to delay the counting long enough that they would have to again go with those alternative means. They wanted to invalidate the election by force. It's not "laughable," it's what happened.
