- motyar 5y agoYes, every developer thinks the same about almost every API/service, that they could build it over weekend.
- IceWreck 5y agoAnd in some cases, they probably can. But reliability, scalability and most importantly quality is harder.
- jjice 5y agoI like how you addressed this in the FAQ, because this is such a classic take by some users of HN. It's fine if you don't want to use it, but a lot of people would love to. Nice product by the way.
- brimble 5y agoBuilding it is one thing. It's not even uncommon for people to be right about that part. It's the maintenance, support, training, operations, and documentation that will kill you, if you think you can "just" write some service and then move on to other tasks.
