I don't understand how sending analytics data to your own host is supposed to solve the legal problem here. Do the GDPR requirements not apply in that case? And how is anyone supposed to build any kind of global data dashboard now? Do you have to have separate sites for EU analytics data vs the rest of the world? How do you do statistics to see where your visitors come from? How much time visitors from which countries, languages, etc., spend on your sites?
