From what I have read its best to blow them on a fault line or near a underwater mountain to create a landslide.
The power of the blast itself is not powerful enough to have any real damage.
- detaro 5y agoA problem is also that the power is used ineffectively. For a tsunami you want to get a lot of water moving in your wave, a naked under-water explosion wastes a lot of energy on making steam and causing impressive fountains.
