- nicbou 5y agoI say "we" because I rarely implement features alone in a single commit. Features are usually a team effort over a period of time. Even if I do something entirely alone out of my own initiative, it's usually with the blessing (or indifference) of the team or its lead.
- zxcvbn4038 5y agoThe last time I did in-person interviews, about a half year before Covid, I was surprised by the number of people I saw that seemed to have “been in the room” when other people did technical things but could not explain in detail either what was done or why it was done. Several of them came from the same recruiter, so I had thought they just didn’t vet anyone before passing through resumes - but then I got the same thing from two other recruiters at completely different agencies. I’ve hired many people over the decades but never had that experience. A fourth recruiter at yet another agency sent over an awesome guy who could discuss both how and why in depth and we made him an offer same day.
