You get a discount (20%, I think) if you want to buy a game which is available on Gamepass and you have a subscription.
This way you can fully play the game and if you really want to "permanently" add it to your library, you can do so for less.
- verst 5y agoMost DLCs are not part of Game Pass, so if you really enjoy a particular game you can still purchase the DLC (at a discount), even without owning the base game. Of course this only makes sense for as long you are a Game Pass Subscriber. You would unfortunately need to purchase the base game from the Xbox / Microsoft Store before you can play your previously purchased DLC.
- fullstop 5y agoEven this is changing. A growing number of titles includes the DLC. I suspect that not all of them do due to licensing agreements.
