My position is not balanced. I'm blind and vr is likely to start as an inaccessible technology. So, I'd say that it is just a noise to make people buy more useless stuff in a new package. I could be wrong if people find it easier to use, to entertain, and make them productive. The last point is important, because if it is not making them money, people won't integrate it in their lives.
