- wand3r 5y agoIs microsoft quietly becoming the metaverse. They are really investing in digital game platforms. Minecraft and now this. Plus they own a lot of infrastructure with Azure. Github for code repo. Not to mention xbox. Definitely technologically set up to be a vertically integrated omnichannel virtual experience company…at least from a positioning standpoint.
- soneca 5y agoAlso, HoloLens. I think they are going for the Ready Player 1 version of the metaverse. Edit: scratch that reference. I realized HoloLens is AR, not VR. And just saw that they are marketing HoloLens 2 to business use cases.
