Designing a super user program for your online community
- amatecha 5y agoOh, wow, I was pretty confused. This is not about designing a powerful piece of software for trusted members of your invite-only artist community or whatever. :'D
- niviachanta 5y agoCould you clarify what you mean by this?
- T3OU-736 5y agoIn the context of HN, the more likely meaning of the term "super user program" is "a computer program for delegating/managing 'super user' privileges". So, the expectation, based on the title, was likely that of "how to write such a computer program" :)
- niviachanta 5y agoOh interesting; thanks for clarifying!
- T3OU-736 5y agoIf you’re reading this post, you probably know what a super user program is or does. Nope. That struck me a pretentiously pompous. Likely not meant that way, but that is how it seemed. For a given page on the Internet, there are multiple ways it can be found and reached, and it is not guaranteed that it will be within the author's context.
- niviachanta 5y agoYou're right; I'll edit it. Thanks for pointing that out!
- T3OU-736 5y agoThank you, it is super helpful!
