The Safari Print to PDF option is 10x better than that of Chrome based browsers! For example my site https://debdut.github.io https://debdut.github.io renders so beautifully on the PDF from Safari while on Chrome even with the “Background Graphics” option on, the rendering doesn’t work correctly.
Can anyone point me to a great Safari like PDF renderer or how to automatize it? Discussions on creating a open port or requesting open sourcing this feature of Safari will also be great!
- a9h74j 5y agoChrome reportedly uses wkhtmltopdf to print to pdf. A comment on StackOverflow also said the Chrome team would like to deprecrate command-line/headless print to pdf it they could. I agree they should not simply make Chrome a shell over direct use of wkhtmltopdf -- which itself is easily available. Wkhtmltopdf provides and documents plenty of command-line options. I don't know what Safari is using underneath.
