Do they have any contingency plans if China takes over the island?
I would assume China would want to keep production going and keep business as usual if they did, but I'm not sure.
- killingtime74 5y agoI heard they are building factories outside Taiwan now. Also it’s been like this since 1945. This is not relatively a time of heightened tensions historically
- deltaonefour 5y agoYou're not wrong. But China is also more powerful than ever before and is continuing becoming more and more powerful. Historical data matters, but the changing landscape and relative levels of power between the united states and China also are a factor.
- totalZero 5y agoChina has been building its own semiconductor supply chain for years now. As time passes, they grow less dependent upon Taiwan's chipmaking.
