I wonder how crunchy the jpeg quality needs to be for this to be viable. A crude back of the envelope calculation after some googling would put the storage price on Ethereum at around 3.5eth per mb. So that would be around 10k€ per mb. Certainly doable if they like burning money, but likely not at archival quality.
