- wutangson1 5y agoCertainly UMich showed immeasurably more integrity than Stanford with that Saloner-Gruenfeld debacle. Good for them
- jevoten 5y ago> The email communication between the two appears to be consensual and appears to have taken place from 2019 to 2021, according to the redacted email correspondence. [..] "Failure of the Supervisor to disclose an Intimate Relationship is a serious offense and cause for discipline, up to and including dismissal from employment," the policy states. So "inappropriate" seems to not be describing anything about the relationship itself, but his failure to disclose it to the university. "Fired for keeping intimate relationship private" would be a more accurate title.
- rurban 5y agoSo why is now a consensual sexual affair with a subordinate "inappropriate". If the other party was married, he would have a good argument to hide it from the faculty. A rather common case on universities. Rather the whistleblower should be punished to interfere into private affairs inappropriately. That's none of their business
