I think that Countries are having a tough time keeping up with the Pandemic. An Omicron infection seems to offer better protection than vaccination at this point. I think if they were being honest, antibody tests would be more valuable than vaccination status. I say this as someone that is both vaccinated and boosted.

The vaccine might not produce antibodies so thay won't allow antibody testing (or the antibodies could disappear too quickly compared to natural immunity). I think antibody testing might have been a good solution for those hesitant to inject a vaccine (because of no data for long term effects/ vaccine technology) but that would offer a way out for those that to not wish to vaccinate and that is also not allowed.
