What I have noticed is an increasing number of orders going unfulfilled or being delayed for a very long time before shipping.
I believe what is happening is the people that made a business of selling readily available items at their local brick and mortar stores for an profit on Amazon have been caught in the inflation trap and are now unable to find the items they had advertised on Amazon or if they do find them they are forced to take a loss due to the increased price.
- rdtwo 5y agoI think many of those items are just stolen and being fenced but even then they still need to be in stock and due to extreme weather and Covid that’s not always the case
- sigmaprimus 5y agooh so you think they are being stolen from inside the Amazon warehouses? That is an interesting idea. I have heard of them being stolen at some point after being shipped but not before. You could very well be correct, I just assumed there would be a camera tracking every time a person blinked inside an Amazon warehouse, maybe that's where they got the name for their camera? I am not sure how the seller program work exactly but have seen many adds for learning how to make money on amazon using arbitrage techniques and assumed they were just selling a dollar store or Walmart item for profit.
- rdtwo 5y agoNo goods are stolen from your local target Walmart or big box retailers then moved on Amazon. But if there is nothing to steal because Walmart has no stock due to a shutdown or snow storm then amazon dries up too.
