I don't see any major pros or cons in upgrading to Windows 11 and I'm happy with Windows 10 Pro, so I'm going to hold off until I see something compelling or when October 14, 2025 is around the corner, when official support for Windows 10 is supposed to end.
- tambre 5y ago> when October 14, 2025 is around the corner, when official support for Windows 10 is supposed to end. That's the Enterprise LTSC EOL for 1507. Seems unlikely you're running that unless you're a big enterprise? Regular GAC 21H2 will last you only until June 13, 2023.
- thomasdziedzic 5y ago> Regular GAC 21H2 will last you only until June 13, 2023. I got that date from the retirement date for Windows 10 Home and Pro at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-10-home-and-pro https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-... So maybe 21H2 will be supported until Jun 13, 2023 but there will be newer feature updates for Windows 10 which will be supported until October 14th, 2025.
- tambre 5y agoWasn't aware, that's great. I'd assumed 21H2 would be the last and had already begun shifting new installs to Win 11.
