This is a general statement about smaller towns in general: I also think that the fact that the US birth rate is falling (for a myriad of reasons) is partly to blame. Not that the author can do anything in particular about it but it's a problem we must face as a society
- Dumblydorr 5y agoYeah, the author's video shows a hustling bustling main street with children running around. Today, the children are half as numerous, and they're all inside to be sheltered from the lethal traffic that they could run into. I have many acquaintances who won't procreate for economic or climate reasons. I totally get that, however if everyone chose that path, there'd be no more human race, other than the occasional accidental child. That would lead to demographic collapse, the aging populace wouldn't have anyone to support their wants and needs. Not a good outcome.
