The odd thing is the origin story despite being in the last 50-60 years is in dispute. There is a claim the collapse happened earlier in the 60s and the fire wasn't started until the 80s. I can't imagine you could see something like that and forget, so seems really odd that they can't clear this mystery up fairly easily.
