I’ve tried to use to do lists and it has never worked for me. The necessary upkeep to keep it up to date annoyed me the most. Recently, however, I’ve come to realise the value of having a well-groomed todo list, with tasks broken down and prioritised. E.g. not “work on my game” but rather “Find 10 inspirations for the games art direction (20m)”. This gets rid of any ambiguities I have around the task, which has been a friction large enough for me to procrastinate.
