Aside from the advice that others have offered about salaries (and I’d support that most salaries for junior devs are well below 6 figures) I can say that response to applications don’t happen for a variety of reasons. I’m a seasoned, experienced engineer and I was not getting responses to jobs that I fit very well. I found once I started customizing my resume to a listing’s keywords that it made a huge difference. Making sure you’re listing as many skills as possible that are in the role, and explicitly calling out relevant (almost verbatim) experience will help you get past the automated systems. And everyone uses automated systems.
