Interesting. Personally i think i also think it has to do with the nature of those services, it's just too simple in essence, the overhead gets obvious. People just revert to a simple piece of paper, a txt file, as i did until i for some reason started using the Reminders app in osx/ios - the first actual app that i have used for more than a year. Stupidly simple and a part of the system already so makes sense.
