Entry level DSLRs also only had 1 control wheel for a long time. This was always one of my biggest issues when looking for a decent, affordable DSLR. It really kneecaps usability. When in aperture priority, having only a single wheel for F-stop, exposure compensation, and ISO is an exercise is frustration.
- epivosism 5y agoOr how even on 2k+ DSLRs you cannot specify "auto ISO limits" - i.e. AUTO means 50-400 but do NOT go over that. So you can't build in your requirements for photos - after verifying that quality up to a certain ISO is okay for your purpose, and above it is NOT okay, you have no way to force the camera to match your requirements.
- andrewaylett 5y agoMy Canon EOS 550D has a "maximum auto ISO" setting that lets me pick anything from 400 up.
