- shagie 5y agoThe unlocking of tools or advantages isn't present in rogue, BOSS ( http://www.roguebasin.com/index.php/BOSS http://www.roguebasin.com/index.php/BOSS ), larn, Moria, or Angband. It is only slightly present in Nethack via bones levels. I would contend that any definition of a rougelike that excludes rogue is overly specific.
