The end of poverty has just begun
- otagekki 5y agoFortunately, poverty is recessing everywhere else in the world, but not everywhere it seems. It is saddening to see my home country (Madagascar) sinking year after year into a deeper and deeper hole, despite having known no military conflicts since 1942 and being independent for six decades. We've been facing climatic and environmental issues for the last 5 decades and a worsening general economic health since 2009 with more than rampant inflation due to the devaluation of the national currency with regards to the U.S. Dollar or the Euro, a steep increase in state corruption. The general population lack of education regarding ecology and being a responsible citizen seem to self-sustain the destruction of the country.
