Inertia and/or fear. Health issues mean that if I leave my position and I find out my new position is more demanding, I'm fucked. I have a mortgage to pay.
I am getting kind of sick and tired of the pressure though. Partly put on by myself, partly put on by expectation of continued excellence in face of stressful deadlines.
- masteruvpuppetz 5y agoSeems like my story. Also being in a country (middle east) where you are dependent on the employment visa gives you little room to experiment or take chances. One wrong move and your life changes. You'd have to go back to your own country and start over again. Nevertheless the fault lies with me for not trying as well.
